Before I do another thing this morning, I wanted to drop you a note to say what a GREAT job you and your committee did organizing the reunion. The group I was with all had a wonderful time and one we will probably never forget. I hope all went as well as it seemed. Just want to tell you if anything did not go according to plan we did not know it. Thanks again for all your hard work and great planning. Jean Smith (Stagner)
Clem, all of the participants in this past weekends 50th Reunion celebration owe you and all of the other members of the Reunion Committee a resounding THANK YOU for all of your combined foresight and hard work. To say that the weekend was a success would be a gross understatement. The choice of a Hotel Setting was a great choice and all of the organized activities were well done. Please pass on my appreciation to all of your fellow workers. Sue and I enjoyed the reunion very much, we hope to see all of you at the next one. Thanks again. John Mundy
Thank you for all that You did in making the Reunion such a sucess! Needless to say, we had so much fun. Those "DOO-WOP" tunes just about put us both in the hospital because we HAD to dance every one. Thanks again, and we do appreciate all your efforts. Sincerely, Terry and Barbara Sanderson
Thanks for all your hard work, the high school tour, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and the reunion were GREAT!!! Please pass along to all who were responsible. Thanks again!!! Vic Friend

Great Reunion, Pass this on to all who were responsible. Carol Montgomery (McNeill)
I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your whole committee. The reunion was a big success, and the people I was with, said they thought so too. I know you guys worked really hard, and I do appreciate that. Thanks again for a job well done. Mollie Guyton (Hicks)
WOW!!!! What a great time. Thanks to you all for your hard work, time, and talent in putting the 50th reunion together. It was wonderful to see my classmates from so long ago and I'm so glad that I attended. If there is a 55th, I'll be there. Thanks again. Jeanine Harris (Oglesby)
What a grand reunion! I was impressed that so many of our classmates attended. I guess the 50th is a real marker. What made the entire gathering wonderful was that everything was housed in the Galvez! That made us a captive audience and certainly enhanced the catching up on the last 50 years... Bertee [Liberty King] and I would like to help with the "bio section" of the web site, if it's feasible. Many, many thanks for a job well done. Redskins Forever, Alice Wright (Stroud)
Dear Clem and Bill; Thanks to you both for all your hard work to make our reunion a fun time for all of us. I really enjoyed my visit with Jamie and with Jenny, and having a chance to get to know them. You both gave it your all! Hope we will have a chance to see each other in the not too distant future. Thanks again, Suzie Robertson (Snoddy)
Congratulations to you and to all the members of the Reunion Committee for the outstanding job they did planning and hosting our 50th Reunion. Your persistence in prodding and encouraging a big turnout achieved just that. It was a grand time, and it was good to see so many people who came from so many states that I had not seen in 25 to 50 years. Well done... Robert Dunnam
Dear Clem, Someone asked me what was the best part of the reunion and I was speechless to say. It was ALL the best part. Thanks to you and the others for all of your hard work and for making it the most fun I can remember in a while! Please pass this on to the rest. Some of us look the same - some of us look even better with age! Some of those we loved are gone, but we had an opportunity to know some we never even knew in the old days. What treasure we have in each other, now that the computer is so simple for us to connect! Who is the contact person at Lamar, and the principal? I would like to write a letter to tell them just how proud I am of our school and what they have created there! To see such a beautiful ethnic mix of students and teachers thrilled me. To see the advanced learning facility that Lamar has become makes me so proud. The future of our world is illustrated there and I hope they will go forth and shine their lights to make it happen all over the planet. Soon, the letter I wrote to Felix will be on the wall there with a photo of Marynelle Davis, Tom Slaughter and me. Hopefully, I can get it in the mail before I go for knee surgery on Friday. Hope to see all of you in 2 years for the big bash on campus! Love and blessings to all, Bobbie Crout (Guillory)
The reunion was terrific and I know how much work you and others must have put into setting it up. We all thank you very much... Ron Clifford
By far, the best reunion venue was the Galvez! You did a great job of arranging everything, making contacts with classmates, and planning enjoyable events throughout the weekend. Whatever else you plan for 2011, staying at the hotel where the reunion is held is a winner. That allows us the opportunity to stay late with long-ago friends and have breakfast with the groups. Our quality contact time is maximized. Having the location convenient to major highways was helpful. Those of us from out of town could drive down leisurely and still be there in time to start the festivities. The 45th was "same song, umpteenth verse," whereas the 50th was a blast. Thanks. Wayland & Mary Lee Whipple
I had lunch with [Bobby] Teague Monday after the reunion and he thought it came out great...and I must say I agree with him. However I want to thank you guys on the committee who were stuck with such a thankless job. You know you are lucky to get the same time of day out of any 4 of our classmates. So total satisfaction is not possible and anywhere near 30% should be considered fantastic. All said my "Yankee" wife & myself had a great time. It was a real "trip on the memory train". Joan & Gary Kelly
I enjoyed very much both of the last 2 reunions. Both were fun, offering different ways to meet & interact with old friends. The 50th was a milestone anniversary, whereas the 45th was not. It was appropriate to have a truly gala event for the 50th. You succeeded mightily. It was a great event... Thanks for the great job you are doing! Mary Jane Tait (Norcross)
Clem, and all the planners, Great reunion. Thank you... It was really wonderful to see people that had not been to any of the reunions before. The school is still doing importent work for the young students of today. The tour of the school was a lot of fun. It was a great time of our lives... It is fun to relive it once and a while. Some people do not get the chance. I regret not seeing some of the people who were lost, but it was good to hear about them on the web page. They were great friends, and I had many good thoughts about them even though they were not in attendence. I have so many good feelings about my Lamar friendships. I wish in some way we could pay tribute to the good teachers, and leadership we had from the faculty at Lamar. They provided a great learning enviroment and learning experience to begin our adult lives. I was able to talk to Ann Duggan. Her father would not let my mind go to sleep in his Civics class. He kept waking me up with his penetrating questions that you had to answer immediately or he would go on to the next student. He made my mind awake for the rest of my life. What a great experience! Good job, Bob (Bobby Joe) Walker
